Hans van den Vlekkert chosen as EPICs CEO of the year!

On 2 July Jose Pozo, Director of Technology and Innovation of EPIC, visited Hans van den Vlekkert and surprised him by presenting him the EPIC CEO Award 2020. With this award EPIC recognizes Hans as a CEO and being one of the biggest entrepreneurs in Europe

Hans has a large history of almost 20 years in photonics and just as much as founding photonics companies (amongst others PhoeniX, SatraX, Xio Photonics, Quix, and of course LioniX and LioniX International) and he therefore may be seen as one of the biggest pioneers in photonics. Having a tremendous drive and an almost inexhaustible energy Hans knew exactly when, where and how to start. In this way he is one of the driving forces to unfold photonics to where we are now: a recognized, key enabling technology, necessary to improve the world in the (near) future.

We are very proud of Hans, very proud that his hard work is recognized and very proud that we were in the position of working with him as our CEO during many years.
